Niels Bjerren Sørensen

Niels Bjerren Sørensen is an experienced international consultant currently working at DUF–Dansk Ungdoms Fællesråd since April 2021, advising young volunteers on development projects across various countries, focusing on themes such as sexual and reproductive health and legal assistance for incarcerated individuals. Prior to this role, Niels served as an AC-fuldmægtig at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at UCPH, where Niels collaborated closely with institute leadership and the Department for Education and Students. Earlier experiences include leading youth initiatives at IMCC DK in Uganda, teaching political science at Aarhus University, interning at the Embassy of Denmark in Uganda, providing night care for a young boy with muscular dystrophy in Aarhus Kommune, assisting in video production at Aarhus BSS, and working as a piccolo at Nykredit. Niels holds degrees in Political Science from Aarhus University and completed secondary education at Randers Statsskole.
