Shawn Colameco

Shawn Colameco possesses extensive experience in the nuclear power industry, currently serving as a Senior Reactor Operator, Control Room Supervisor, and Shift Technical Advisor at Duke Energy Corporation since December 2013, with responsibilities at Brunswick Nuclear Plant Unit 1 and 2. Prior to this role, Shawn worked as a Nuclear Reactor Operator and a Nuclear Operations Technician at the same facility, where additional qualifications included being a fire brigade member, hazmat technician, and emergency medical responder. Shawn’s career began in the US Navy, serving for eight years as a Nuclear Machinist's Mate, where duties included operations, supervision, training, and quality assurance for nuclear propulsion systems aboard the USS Enterprise. Educational accomplishments include a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering Technologies/Technicians from Excelsior University, completion of the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program, and a high school diploma from Scituate High School.
