Randy Arvay

Randy Arvay, Ph.D. is an accomplished technology and security leader currently serving as Assistant Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Duke University Health System, overseeing a large staff responsible for enterprise architecture, hybrid infrastructure services, and core operations across multiple hospitals. Previously, Randy held interim roles as Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Duke Health, with responsibilities including substantial operational budgets and program management. Academic contributions include positions as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Duke University and Adjunct Faculty at the University of Miami, alongside a prior role as Chief Information Security Officer at the University of Utah. Randy’s extensive military background includes leadership positions in cybersecurity and network engineering, underscored by a Ph.D. in Software Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, along with a Master’s in Information Systems and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Hawaii Pacific University and the United States Military Academy at West Point, respectively.
