Peter Veiga

Peter Veiga is a seasoned professional in waste management, currently serving as the Manager of Waste Management Operations for Durham Region since 2009, with prior roles including Acting Manager and Supervisor. Peter has held the position of Director at the Canadian Biogas Association from March 2020 to April 2022 and has been actively involved with the Circular Innovation Council as Chair and Director from 2008 to June 2020, as well as with the Municipal Waste Integration Network as Director from 2003 to 2009. Before these roles, Peter worked as Supervisor of Waste Operations with the Town of Markham from 1996 to 2008. Educational qualifications include an Honours Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Toronto and a Masters Certificate in Municipal Management from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.
