Irene Papatheodorou

Irene Papatheodorou is an accomplished bioinformatician with extensive experience in gene expression and informatics. Currently serving as the Team Leader for Gene Expression and the Expression Atlas Coordinator at the European Bioinformatics Institute since September 2015, Irene also leads the Expression Atlas Content Project. Prior roles include Senior Bioinformatician at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, Visiting Researcher at the EBI, and Research Associate at University College London and the University of Cambridge. Irene holds a PhD in Computing with a focus on Bioinformatics and has contributed to various large-scale genomics projects, particularly in the areas of ageing-related transcription factor regulatory networks and statistical analyses of genomics data.
