Karim Gharbi is an accomplished researcher and academic with extensive experience in genomics. Currently serving as the Head of Technical Genomics at the Earlham Institute since February 2018, Gharbi previously held multiple roles at The University of Edinburgh, including Senior Lecturer, Head of Genomics, and Scientific Manager from July 2009 to February 2018. Earlier positions include Kelvin-Smith Fellow in Aquatic Epidemiology and Wellcome Trust Value-in-People Fellow at the University of Glasgow from February 2006 to June 2009, and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Guelph from July 2001 to January 2006. Karim Gharbi holds a PhD in Genomics and an Ingénieur Agronome degree in Animal Sciences from Institut national agronomique Paris-Grignon, along with a background in biology and related sciences from Lycée Henri IV.
