Elijah Brown

Elijah Brown currently serves as a History Teacher at East Orange School District and as a Senior Pastor at Trinity United Methodist Church-Newark. Previous experience includes teaching ELA and Social Studies at Newark Public Schools and providing instruction in ELA, Math, and History at North Star Academy Charter School of Newark. Elijah also held roles as Assistant Director of the Cooperman College Scholars Summer Academy at The College of New Jersey, Project Coordinator for The Zoe Project at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, and Community Service Officer at Rutgers University - Newark. Educational qualifications consist of a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Rutgers, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rutgers University - Newark, and ongoing studies in Master of Divinity at United Theological Seminary, set to complete in 2024.
