Fernando A. Ribas Jr.

Fernando A. Ribas Jr. serves as Technical Director of Model-Based Design and Model-Based Engineering at Eaton since June 2023, focusing on Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) across divisions within Eaton Electrical Sector Americas. Previously, Fernando held various leadership roles at Whirlpool Corporation from July 2010 to June 2023, including Director and Sr. Principal of Model Based Design, managing a global team and leading initiatives in control systems, virtual systems, and advanced modeling and simulation. Their experience also encompasses product development in compressor technology at Embraco, along with a strong background in academic instruction on thermal sciences. Fernando holds a Professional Certificate in Architecture and Systems Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and advanced degrees in Thermal Sciences and Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina.
