Jennifer Lu

Jennifer Lu is a skilled bioinformatician currently employed at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since July 2022, specializing in the development of bioinformatic pipelines for liquid biopsy variant calling. Previously, Jennifer served as a research officer and senior research technician at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN) from July 2021 to May 2022. Jennifer completed a PhD in Bioinformatics at The University of Queensland, focusing on integrative multi-omics analysis of Pan Cancer Biomarkers with the Centre for Personalised Nanomedicine from August 2017 to July 2021. Jennifer's academic background includes an MPhil in Breast Cancer Epigenomics and a BSc (Hons) in Virology, both obtained from The University of Queensland. Additional roles include project and research administration officer positions at The University of Queensland and organizing the 3rd Australian Biology of Ageing Conference.
