Ian Montgomery

Ian Montgomery is a Sustainable Design Specialist at EcoEnclose since November 2024. Previously, Montgomery served as Principal at Guacamole Airplane from October 2018 to October 2024, leading a design studio focused on sustainable packaging. Montgomery also taught as an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco, delivering courses on Critical Brand & Package Design with an emphasis on sustainability. Academic endeavors include a graduate degree in Packaging Design from Pratt Institute, where thesis work concentrated on sustainable packaging, as well as an undergraduate degree in Earth Systems from Stanford University. Early career experience includes roles as a Packaging Designer at Areaware and Designer at Chubbies Shorts.
