Stephen Shapiro

Stephen Shapiro serves as the Director at EcoHealth Alliance from April 2023, focusing on global efforts to prevent emerging diseases. Additionally, Shapiro holds the position of Senior Advisor at the Atlantic Council's Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security since December 2020 and is the Managing Partner at BSR Investments, active since 2006, specializing in private equity and real estate investments, particularly in multi-family and hospitality projects. Shapiro is also the Managing Partner of Benjamin Shapiro Realty LLC, a holding company involved in various real estate endeavors, a role maintained since 1983. Early career experience includes positions as an Associate at Estroff Waldman & Poretsky and Webster & Sheffield, alongside roles in congressional campaigns, including Congressional Campaign Manager for Peter Kostmayer. Stephen Shapiro holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.A. in Politics from Brandeis University.
