Joe Watts is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media and public relations. Currently serving as Director at Edelman since November 2021, Joe previously held the position of Deputy Director for Media and Free Trade Agreement Communications at the Department for International Trade from April 2019 to November 2021. Joe's background includes roles such as Head of News at The Independent and Political Editor at the Evening Standard, along with experience as Political Editor and Correspondent at various news organizations, including Archant and Northcliffe Media. Joe began a career in journalism at the Nottingham Evening Post as an Education Correspondent, demonstrating a strong foundation in political and educational reporting. Education was received at Cherwell School.
