Rakesh Thukral

Rakesh Thukral is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within the public relations and consulting sectors. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer for the Asia-Pacific region at Edelman since April 2010, Rakesh has held various titles within the company, including Managing Director and Director of Public Affairs. Rakesh has also contributed to the non-profit sector as a member of the Governing Board for Sarthak, an organization dedicated to mental health initiatives. Previous roles include Chief Operating Officer for Edelman India, Outreach Consultant at the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, and COO at Comma Consulting Private Ltd. Rakesh's career began at IPAN, where the role of Assistant Vice President was held from 1991 to 2005. Rakesh is an alumnus of Delhi University.
