Alp Kocaman

Alp Kocaman, P.E. is a highly experienced engineering professional with a robust background in naval architecture and marine engineering. Currently serving as the Shenandoah FPS Hull and Moorings Manager at EDG since October 2021, Alp Kocaman oversees the structural design, fabrication, and installation processes for the Shenandoah FPS project in the Gulf of Mexico. Previous roles include senior facilities engineer at Chevron, where inventive solutions were developed for the Ballymore field, and lead engineer at EDG for significant subsea projects related to Chevron Tahiti. With extensive experience at McDermott International Inc., Petro Canada, and additional engineering firms, Alp's expertise spans project management, design, construction, and installation across various offshore oil and gas developments. Academic qualifications include Master's degrees in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University.
