Joanna Arana

Joanna Arana is an experienced professional in civil engineering and construction management, currently serving as an EDGE Expert at EDGE Buildings since February 2019, providing technical support for green building design and EDGE certification in Mexico. Joanna has held multiple leadership roles, including CEO and General Manager at Guishi Construcciones since October 2017, and previously served as Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara from July 2017 to July 2019. Earlier experience includes a role as Director de área in a government position from 2013 to 2016. Joanna's educational background includes multiple advanced degrees in construction management and sustainability from prestigious institutions, including EPFL and Instituto Tecnológico de la Construcción, along with a degree in civil engineering from Universidad de Guadalajara.
