Owen West MSt (Cantab) is a Senior Lecturer at Edge Hill University, with extensive experience in policing and consultancy. Currently serving as a member of the Scientific Pandemic Influenza Group on Behavior and chairing the Staffordshire Police Independent Professionals Panel, Owen also works as a Senior Consultant for Enable UK 2, focusing on reforms in Football Policing, Club Safety, and Stewarding. With a distinguished background as Chief Superintendent and Director of Corporate Services at West Yorkshire Police, Owen previously held the position of Head of Operational Support and has contributed to research in policing, having attained a degree in Criminology and Police Management with a focus on Crowd Psychology and Police Legitimacy from the University of Cambridge.
