Debbie Meharg

Debbie Meharg serves as the Head of Applied Informatics, Associate Professor, and Lecturer at Edinburgh Napier University since September 2013, focusing on Business Intelligence, Enterprise Systems, and Big Data while also leading the Graduate Apprenticeship Programme. Additionally, Debbie works as an External Verifier for the Scottish Qualifications Authority since January 2019, and previously held the position of Senior Lecturer at Edinburgh College, leading the Computing team and managing curriculum development. Prior experience includes Senior Lecturer roles at Stevenson College Edinburgh, and Lecturer in Software Engineering at Belfast Metropolitan College, along with a Software Engineer position at Openwave. Debbie holds an MSc in Computer Science from Queen's University Belfast, a Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership from CMI, and a BA (Hons) in Commerce from Abertay University.
