In 2005, Mike ditched a PhD program on the East Coast and moved back to the Bay Area, where he fell into a position managing a magazine for a medical association. Several years later—tired of a commute, Mike set out on his own and joined Editcetera. That was 2012, and since then he’s been in a constant state of reinventing himself, moving from copyediting to writing to web development. Most of his clients nowadays are in genomics and biotech and are mostly positioned around managing their digital presence in different marketing avenues.
