Mike Downs

Mike Downs is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various educational institutions. Currently, Mike serves as a Senior Education Consultant at Education Design International since April 2021. Prior to this, Mike held significant positions including Superintendent at The Walworth Barbour American International School in Israel from July 2014 to July 2019, Interim Head of School at The Jewish Day School of Metropolitan Seattle for the 2013-2014 academic year, and Head of School at Mounds Park Academy from July 2002 to June 2013. Mike also served as Assistant Head of School at The Blake School from July 1999 to June 2002 and as Middle School Director at Holland Hall School from July 1997 to June 1999. Mike's academic background includes a Master of Fine Arts in Directing for the Stage from UCLA and ongoing studies as a Fellow in Independent School Leadership at Teachers College, Columbia University.
