Bas Jm Beek

Bas JM Beek is an experienced professional in operational excellence and organizational development, currently serving as the Cross-border Operations Manager at Edukans since February 2024, focusing on the enhancement of operations across multiple offices in Africa and the Netherlands. With a long-standing tenure at Young Africa as Chair of the Risk Committee and a member of the Supervisory Board, Bas has contributed to governance improvements. Previous roles include Manager Operational Excellence at Cordaid, where leadership in team coaching and project management enhanced operational quality, and Director Integration, where Bas facilitated a merger leading to cultural alignment among 1,400 staff in twenty countries. Additionally, roles at Oxfam Novib and SNV involved significant contributions to capacity development and resource mobilization in various regions. Bas holds a Master's degree in Development Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Postgraduate Certificate in International Sustainable Development from the University of Applied Sciences Leiden.
