Gunnar H. Garðarsson is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in public communication, media management, and political advisory roles. Currently serving as a Communications Officer at EEA and Norway Grants since September 2023, Gunnar has previously held significant positions including Head of Communications at Ríkislögreglustjóri, Political Advisor and Project Manager at Alþingi, and Communications Officer at the EFTA Surveillance Authority. Additional experience includes freelance media and communications consultancy, Digital Communications Manager at Visit Reykjanes, and Project Manager for the Social Democratic Alliance during parliamentary elections. Educational credentials include two Master's degrees in Strategic Communication and Public Relations from the University of Stirling and Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Háskóli Íslands.
