Kate Athey

Kate Athey, LPC, SAC, is a licensed professional counselor and a certified student assistance counselor in New Jersey, currently serving as a School Clinician at Effective School Solutions since October 2021, providing critical clinical services to students with emotional and behavioral disabilities at Montclair High School. Athey's previous experience includes roles as a Float Clinician, Intensive In-Community Services counselor, School Based Mental Health Therapist at multiple institutions, and support staff positions at treatment facilities. Athey holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York University and additional qualifications in student assistance coordination and behavioral sciences.
