Kelan Hlavaty

Kelan Hlavaty serves as the Senior Director of Analytical Development at eGenesis, Inc., starting January 2024. Prior to this role, Kelan was the Director of Gene Therapy Analytical Development at Sana Biotechnology, where responsibilities included leading analytical development for lentiviral gene therapy programs and managing cross-functional CMC teams. With previous positions as a Principal Scientist and Group Leader at SQZ Biotechnologies and a Post Doctoral Scholar at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, Kelan has extensive experience in cell-based assays, immune cell therapies, and CAR-T technologies. An academic foundation includes a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University and a BS in Biomedical Sciences from Central Michigan University. Kelan is recognized for strong technical writing skills and effective leadership in scientific research and development.
