Salome Mwaura

Salome Mwaura is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in government relations, external affairs, and communications. Currently serving as the Head of Government Relations at EIDU, Salome leads the Government Relations Team in advocating for program funding within government budgets. Previously, as Secretary General and Board Member of the Rural Private Hospitals Association of Kenya, Salome contributed to a pioneering non-political society of privately-owned medical centers. In roles such as Director of External Affairs at Penda Health and Head of Department at Bamburi Cement Limited, Salome focused on policy, advocacy, communications, and compliance, significantly enhancing the organizations' public relations and strategic outreach. Salome's career also includes entrepreneurial experience as Co-Founder of Twana Rides Ltd and consultancy at Elsek & Elsek Group, alongside notable tenure at Procter & Gamble, where comprehensive communication strategies were developed for Sub-Saharan Africa. Salome holds education credentials from Strathmore University and Moi Forces Academy.
