Cindy Wu is a data analyst at Electric Applications Incorporated. Cindy has over nine years of experience in energy efficiency, technical due diligence, and commissioning.
Cindy started their career as a senior engineer at kW Engineering in 2009. Cindy conducted energy and water audits, estimated costs and savings, and engaged commercial and industrial customers in implementing efficiency solutions. In their role, they also drafted detailed reports that included analysis of utility data, benchmarking, cost and savings of energy efficiency, load management, demand response and distributed generation opportunities. Her audit experience includes industrial food processing facilities, wastewater treatment plants, higher education laboratories, and commercial offices.
In 2016, Cindy led a team of engineers to complete application reviews for utility energy efficiency incentive programs. The reviews involved data analysis, engineering calculations, energy balance, and measurement and verification. Her project experience includes efficiency improvement of industrial steam, compressed air and refrigeration systems, wastewater treatment aeration controls, municipal pumping systems, facility HVAC and lighting.
Since 2018, Cindy has overseen a portfolio of commissioning (Cx) projects by tracking milestones and monitoring project progress. Cindy has provided commissioning of HVAC, lighting and plumbing systems for commercial and academic facilities, including design review, construction coordination, functional performance test development and execution, punchlist management and system documentation.
Cindy Wu has a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a music minor from the University of California, Berkeley. Cindy also has certification from the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical.
