William Barnes

William Barnes, P.E., serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at General Dynamics Electric Boat since September 2023 and is also an Advisor at World Wide Technology and an Advisory Board Member for Elisity and Wallarm. With extensive experience in the United States Marine Corps, William holds the position of Vice Chief of Staff for Marine Forces Cyberspace Command and has been promoted to Colonel in 2017. William has contributed to academia as an Adjunct Instructor of Computer Science at Connecticut College since August 2012. Previously, William was Deputy CISO and Senior Director of Network Services and Cybersecurity Analytics at Pfizer, with a focus on crisis management and proactive security measures. William's educational background includes a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from U.S. Naval War College and two degrees from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, encompassing Operations and Information Technology as well as Mechanical Engineering.
