Vikash Kumar is an engineer/scientist at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) since October 2021, focusing on advancing weld repair technology in nuclear power plants globally. Prior experience includes a role as a process technician at Wolfspeed, where monitoring and troubleshooting of metal sputtering and evaporation tools for SiC semiconductor devices occurred. As an undergraduate research assistant at North Carolina State University, Vikash Kumar fabricated and tested perovskite solar cell devices and electroadhesive devices with liquid metals for biomedical applications. In addition, Vikash served as a resident advisor, fostering a supportive environment for fellow students. Vikash Kumar holds a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science from North Carolina State University, completed in 2020, and contributed to a published paper on stretchable and durable soft devices.
