Matt Cechini

Senior Technical Project Manager at Element 84

Matt Cechini is a senior software engineer at Element 84. Matt has over six years of experience in systems engineering, including four years on the NASA Global Imagery Browse Services (GIBS) project. In their current role, they provide systems engineering leadership and is the primary technical contact for project stakeholders, customers, and internal team members. Matt is also responsible for developing and reviewing standard operating procedures for configuration management, backup/recovery/failover, and regular operations.

Cechini has a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Colorado Boulder. Matt is an expert in raster imagery manipulation using GDAL tools, vector data archival/distribution, and OGC WMS/WMTS access API. Matt also has experience in Linux-based Python/Bash development.

Matt Cechini received their Masters of Science in Technical Management from Johns Hopkins University - School of Engineering. Matt also received their BS in Software Engineer from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Matt is also certified from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
