Hong Peng

Hong Peng is a Senior Scientist and Project Manager at Elkem AS since November 2005, with prior experience as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Metals Research and Stockholm University. Hong has specialized in the development and evaluation of advanced ceramics, including long-fibre reinforced SiC matrix composites and laminated nanostructural Si3N4/SiC composites through Spark Plasma Sintering. Hong has also contributed to the enhancement of self-reinforced tough sialon ceramics and led the Ceramic Laboratory at Zhejiang University, focusing on innovative refractory materials. Hong holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Stockholm University and a Master's degree in Inorganic Materials and Chemistry from Zhejiang University.
