John Webb is President of the Tri-South, which is comprised of Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi. He is headquartered in Memphis, TN. Immediately prior, he served as CEO and Managing Partner of Quantum Reach, a venture capital and consulting hybrid focused on small/medium sized companies. He also advised academic institutions on entrepreneurship and worked with distressed regions to drive economic prosperity/job creation.
Before Quantum Reach, John was a Fortune 100 senior executive, having oversight for P&L units of up to $5.0 billion in annual revenue. As a Senior Vice President at Aetna, he managed all Government programs and helped lead growth through M&A and internal start-up incubation. Previously, he had executive roles at Unum Corporation, including an international assignment leading Unum Canada in Toronto. Earlier in his career, he worked for Rockwell International on the Space Shuttle and other Advanced Technology Programs.
John is Board Vice President for Trust Risk Management Services (TRMS) and on the boards of early stage companies. In addition, he has recently been appointed to the local advisory boards for the University of Memphis(Business Board), Greater Memphis Chamber(Chairman’s Circle) and the Mid South Minority Business Council(MMBC). Also, he is a past advisory board member for the Taubman Medical Research Institute(Univ of Michigan) and is very active in youth related STEM programs and resolving homelessness.
John holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
