Bergthora Hlidkvist Skuladottir

Bergthora Hlidkvist Skuladottir serves as the Global Sustainability Director at Embla Medical since March 2024, previously holding the same title at Össur from October 2015 to March 2024, along with roles as Environmental & Safety Manager and Environmental Specialist. Prior experience includes leadership of the Chemicals team at the Environment Agency in Iceland from 2009 to October 2015, focusing on policy development and project prioritization. Additionally, Bergthora was the Director at Sesseljuhús in Sólheimar Eco-Village from 2006 to 2009, where project development in sustainability was emphasized. Early career experience involves working as a Scientist in drug development at deCODE genetics from 1998 to 2003. Bergthora holds a Master's degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science from Lund University and a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Háskóli Íslands.
