Michael Magerman has over 25 years of corporate operating experience and leadership. His experience includes operating in both public and private company settings, primarily in consumer products. As CEO, he has led the development and managed the execution of strategic growth and profitability plans for Quickie Manufacturing, Autoland Corporation, Bravo Sports, Tommy Armour Golf, Marc Scot Apparel, and Odyssey Golf.
Currently, Michael is the CEO of United Sports Brands (Shock Doctor, McDavid) and prior to that was the CEO of EyeBobs, a consumer eyewear company based out of Minneapolis.
He was also the President and CEO of Quickie Manufacturing Corporation, the largest manufacturer of cleaning tools in North American and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jarden Corporation.
Michael is best known as the founder of Odyssey Golf, a company he started in 1990 and remained as President and CEO through the sale of the company to Callaway Golf in August 1997. He holds two patents on the design and technology of inserts for golf putters. He was awarded Advertising Age’s Top 100 Marketers in the U.S., and a Gold Effie from the NY Advertisers Association in connection with the marketing and advertising for the company’s product.
He holds a BA in Political Science from UCLA and an MBA from the University of San Diego.
