Anna Winter Rasmussen has been an advocate for Emerson since childhood; she has served as a corporator since 1996 and a member of the Foundation Board since 2013. The delivery of excellent, state-of-the-art and compassionate healthcare is her interest, and she serves on Emerson’s Quality Committee. In addition, Anna is devoted to supporting research to advance the understanding and treatment of autoimmune disease. Together with her husband, Neil, she founded the MIT Center for Microbiome Informatics and Therapeutics. A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, she worked as an art director in print, video, and film production. Currently, she is the executive director of a non-profit historical and environmental preservation organization and serves on the boards of The Walden Woods Project, Orchard House, The Concord Museum, and the Science Visiting Council for PBS NOVA.
