Edwin Bemmel

Edwin Bemmel currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Research Administration at Emory University, a position held since October 2022. Prior to this role, Edwin was the Executive Director of Research Administration at the University of Miami from December 2015 to September 2022 and the Senior Director of Research Finance at Geisinger Health System from June 2011 to November 2015. Edwin's extensive experience in post-award research administration began at Florida Atlantic University, where Edwin worked as the Director of Research Accounting from January 1992 to June 2011. Academically, Edwin Bemmel holds a PhD in Educational Leadership, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, a Master of Accountancy, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, all obtained from Florida Atlantic University.
