Smith is an associate professor of nursing at Three Rivers Community College in Norwich, Connecticut, teaching senior-level associate degree program nursing students. Smith also actively works stretcherside at Middlesex Health Shoreline Medical Center in Westbrook, Connecticut. She has worked in a variety of clinical backgrounds including child/adolescent psych, medical stepdown, and a Level I trauma ED.
Smith has been actively involved in the ENA both at the state and national levels.
Smith was a state delegate from 2016-20 and has held various positions, including education chair, secretary, government affairs co-chair, and, ultimately, the Connecticut ENA State Council President in 2020. Nationally, Smith started on the Conference Education Planning Committee in 2018 and served as co-chair in 2021 to help lead the association’s second-ever fully virtual annual conference.
Smith has presented at multiple conferences including the ENA’s annual conference, ENA Leadership Orientation, and New England Regional Symposium. Smith was selected for the Class of 2022 of the ENA Connection 20 Under 40 program.
