Matthew Davies

Matthew Davies is a seasoned Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in frontend and backend development. Currently at configure8 since September 2021, Matthew leads frontend development and plays a critical role across the entire codebase. Previously, at Hidden Road, Matthew served as the first full-time frontend engineer, migrating the internal JavaFX portal to a modern web portal utilizing React/Redux and TypeScript. Matthew's career also includes significant contributions at Oportun, where responsibilities included frontend technologies and mentoring other engineers. Matthew has served in various roles, such as Team Manager at CVP and Junior Developer at GeoStrategies Inc., demonstrating leadership and technical expertise across diverse projects. Matthew's earlier work includes positions as Media Consultant and Web Developer, showcasing a robust foundation in multimedia and web technologies. Education was obtained through homeschooling from 1998 to 2014.
