Jonathan Copus, PhD, currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at EnQuest, overseeing upstream late-life asset operations with a focus on field life extensions and cost reduction. Prior to this role, Jonathan was the CEO of Getech, where significant transformations were made to diversify into critical minerals and decarbonization. Jonathan also held the position of CFO at Salamander Energy PLC, leading financial strategies for petroleum production in Southeast Asia. Additionally, Jonathan was a distinguished Director of Oil & Gas Equity Research at Deutsche Bank, recognized as a top energy analyst. Jonathan's extensive experience includes roles at Investec, HSBC, Societe Generale, Shell, and Mobil Oil. Academic credentials include a PhD from the University of Cambridge and a BSc from Durham University, both in geology-related fields.
