Lou Sykes

Lou Sykes is a Habitat Delivery Project Manager at Environment Bank since November 2024, with extensive experience in freshwater and habitat management. Prior roles include Senior Catchment Officer and Catchment Officer at South East Rivers Trust, where Lou chaired the Loddon and Cuckmere & Pevensey Levels Catchment Partnerships and led project development initiatives. As a River Restoration Officer at Thames21, Lou managed river and wetland restoration projects collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders. Previous roles in freshwater project management include co-hosting the Test & Itchen Catchment Partnership and working on National Lottery Heritage Fund bids. Lou holds a Master of Research in Biodiversity, Evolution and Conservation from UCL and a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Conservation from the University of Kent, along with A-Levels in relevant subjects from Barton Peveril Sixth Form College.
