Camile began their research career as an Exchange Visitor Research Assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Camile Semighini Grubor, B.Pharm., Ph.D. began their education in 1996 at USP - Universidade de São Paulo, where they earned their Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree in Pharmacy and Biochemistry, specializing in Clinical and Toxicological Analyses, in the year 2000. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Molecular and Cell Biology at USP from 2001 to 2003.

In 2004, Camile Semighini Grubor enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biological Sciences, with a minor in Plant Pathology, in 2007.
