Lea Bender

Lea Bender is an experienced yoga teacher and educator with a diverse background in curriculum planning and arts education. Currently, Lea serves as a staff instructor at Omega Institute for Holistic Studies and teaches yoga at Sadhana Center For Yoga and Jaya Yoga Center. As the owner and teacher of Lea Bender Yoga since January 2017, Lea has developed a personalized approach to yoga education. Previously, Lea worked as the Education Director at Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture, where curriculum planning and youth education were key responsibilities. Additional roles include Arts Education Director at Open Source Gallery and Event Producer at The Go Game, alongside a history of teaching theater and playwriting to young students. Lea holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Skidmore College and has completed independent courses at New York University and The New School.
