Edmond Hajrizi

Prof.dr. Edmond Hajrizi is the founder and rector of the private institution of higher education, UBT, which is a reflection of his experience and expertise gathered during the studies and work in many universities and international institutions. He graduated in engineering in University of Prishtina, and after two years became a master of Advanced Automotive Technology in the same university. During the same year, he enrolled for his doctoral studies in the University of Vienna in Systems Mangament parallelly with his studies in Information Technology. He finished his postdoctoral studies in England, City University of London.

He is a certified manager of quality from TUEV Austria, the first accredited expert for the certification project in 4 levels from the International Authority for Project Management.

Hajrizi is an accredited examiner and trainer for Quality Management under the umbrella of European Organization for Quality Austria, the main expert for EFQM model accredited from ILEP foundation.

Rector Hajrizi came back from Vienna to make his dream come true. His dream was to establish an institution that brings in Kosova the most technological innovations and developments, which are up to date with the most developed countries, becoming the first address for higher education studies in Kosova and region.

In 2001, Hajrizi founded the insitution IEME bringing a different approach in researches, university studies, professional trainings and international conferences. 2003 was the year when UBT got licensed, fiercely entering the field of univerisity studies.

The establishment of UBT marks a new chapter in the development of higher education in Kosova, being up to date and showing a whole new level of education like never before.

From 29, the number of students in the first generation, to 10,000, the number of students that left their future in the hands of UBT- This is a prof of the success of UBT and professionalism of Hajrizi which made many people strongly believe in this insitution. Today, 90% of those students are active in the job market and hundreds of other people are employed thorughout a year, representing the greatest reward for them.

Today, UBT is a synonym of an institution that offers developed programs, comparable to those in Europe and USA. It is the place that offers studies in all the fields, for profiles that are required most in the job market, the place that represents the main address of state institutions in requiring expertise and professional support.

UBT hosts thousands of world-wide known personalities who visit Kosova. It is the biggest support to the countries’ highest instances that work for increasing the quality and improving the life in Kosova. Thanks to professor Hajrizi lobbying in many countries, Kosova is a strong voice and member in many international institutions, something that politics can never do.

UBT is a source of employment with more than 500 people working as an academic and administrative staff, all of which are qualified and educated in UBT and other prestigious international institutions. UBT is the most serious academic institution in organizing international and scientific conferences. What is more, it has made it possible for many students to register and complete doctoral studies in the most popular international univerisities.

Due to the high influence of Hajrizi, UBT cooperates with 240 universities from all over the world.
