Thierry Carol is an accomplished finance executive with extensive experience in the energy sector and environmental finance. Currently serving as CFO and Member of the Management Board at EPEX SPOT since July 2017, Thierry manages diverse areas including Accounting, Controlling, Tax, HR, Risk, and Market Surveillance. Previously, Thierry held key positions such as Deputy CEO and Chief Administrative Officer at Powernext, overseeing finance, legal, and operational functions. Additional roles include Deputy Head of Carbon Finance at NATIXIS Environnement & Infrastructures and Deputy CEO at Bluenext, where expertise in carbon markets was developed. Thierry's educational background includes an Executive MBA from HEC Paris and other management qualifications.
