David Martin

David Martin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in computer science, education, and public service. Currently serving as Board Treasurer and Board Member at Episcopal Relief & Development since January 2020, David Martin also operates David Martin Consulting as an expert consultant in litigation involving computer software. Previously, David Martin was a City Council Member for Ward 3 in Ames, Iowa, from January 2018 to January 2022, representing a city of approximately 66,000 residents. Academic roles include serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts - Lowell and the University of Denver, focusing on research in computer privacy and security while teaching various computer science subjects. Early in the career, David Martin gained experience as a systems programmer at Iowa State University and worked as a research intern at Bellcore, with foundational roles at Hewlett Packard GmbH and Sensor Scan Inc.
