Amir Sammak is a Senior Scientist at TNO since July 2017, previously holding the position of Scientist Innovator. Prior to TNO, Amir was a Research Scientist at QuTech from January 2016 to June 2017, focusing on the development of high content SiGe virtual substrates for ultra high mobility MOS transistors. Amir completed a Post Doctoral research program at TU Delft between March 2013 and February 2015, working on Ge-on-Si infrared imagers for sensitive Raman spectroscopy. As a PhD Candidate at TU Delft from 2008 to 2012, Amir researched silicon-based integration of chemical vapor deposition for high-quality photodiodes. Earlier experience includes serving as a Research Assistant in Thin Film Labs at the University of Tehran from 2005 to 2008. Amir holds a PhD in Microsystems and Nanoelectronics from Delft University of Technology, a Master of Science in Semiconductor Device Physics from the University of Tehran, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same institution.
