Nick Nelson

Nick Nelson currently serves as Vice President of Customer Experience at EquiTrust Life Insurance Company, a position held since January 2025. Prior to this role, Nick was involved with Orchard Place as a Foundation Board Member from August 2021 to January 2025. Spanning a career at Sammons Financial Group Companies from August 2006 to September 2024, Nick held multiple leadership positions including Vice President of Centralized Services and Administration as well as Associate Vice President of Customer Service, where responsibilities included overseeing customer service operations for Life and Annuity products. Additional experience includes membership on the Board of Directors for the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce, and prior roles at ING and Midland National Life. Nick earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Management Information Systems from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, graduating in 2003.
