Ruben Verlangen has extensive experience in emergency care and education, currently serving as a jurylid for the Venticare Reanimatie competitie since January 2020 and holding multiple roles within the Nederlandse Reanimatie Raad, including voorzitter of the Educatieve Raad and bestuurslid, since May 2014. With a longstanding commitment to enhancing survival rates through effective education, Ruben has also contributed as an educator for the European Resuscitation Council since August 2016 and as a columnist for Venticare Magazine since 2015. Active in the field of acute care, Ruben has been an ambulance nurse with the RAVU since January 2000 and serves as the project leader for the Ambulance Bike team and coordinator for prehospital training at the METS Center. Additionally, Ruben has instructed pediatric emergency care through the American Academy of Pediatrics and has certifications in Advanced and Immediate Life Support as well as Advanced Hazmat Life Support. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Nursing from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, along with specialized training in ambulance nursing and intensive care.
