Tim Piens

Tim Piens is an experienced healthcare professional currently serving as the Head Nurse of the Emergency Department at AZ Oostende since November 2018, with a progressive career in emergency care including positions as Assistant Head Nurse and Emergency & Mobile Intensive Care Nurse. In addition, Tim acts as an ETC instructor candidate and holds certifications as an Advanced Life Support instructor and Immediate Life Support instructor with the ERC European Resuscitation Council. Tim has contributed to education as a practice lecturer in First Aid at IKWV and has experience as an internship supervisor at Arteveldehogeschool. Previous roles include being a Nursing Coordinator for Emergency Planning and Emergency & Mobile Intensive Care Nurse at AZ Sint-Lucas Gent. Tim holds a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management from VIVES University of Applied Sciences, a Bachelor's degree in Intensive Care and Emergency Care from HOGENT, and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Arteveldehogeschool.
