Carla Smith

Carla Smith is a seasoned technical director in power systems, currently serving at Ergo Consulting Ltd since February 2004, where responsibilities include leading engineering upgrades for protection systems across multiple substations. Prior experience includes roles at Lincolne Scott, where as a power systems engineer, Carla managed the design and monitoring of electrical and communications building services for various projects, and at McMahon & Associates Ltd as a graduate electrical engineer, where key contributions included commissioning a 110kV switch yard and managing project documentation. Carla's academic background features a Bachelor of Electronic & Electrical Engineering from The University of Auckland and a New Zealand Certificate in Electrical Engineering from Manukau Institute of Technology. Early in the career, Carla served as a technical assistant and engineering cadet at Auckland Electric Power Board.
