Robert Hanzel

Robert Hanzel has extensive experience in credit risk management, currently serving as the Group Credit Risk Digitalization Lead at Erste Group since April 2018, focusing on transforming credit risk processes and enhancing risk decision-making through data and innovation. Prior to this role, Robert held multiple positions at Erste Group, including Group Head of Credit Portfolio Steering for both corporate and retail sectors, and Origination and Credit Risk Infrastructure Development. With over a decade of experience as Head of Retail Risk Management at SLSP from March 2007 to April 2018, Robert managed retail loan portfolio risk profiles and underwriting standards. Earlier, from September 1997 to March 2007, Robert held roles at Tatra Banka, including Head of Retail Risk Management and Credit Risk Manager for Corporate Loans. Robert holds a degree in Audit & Accounting from Ekonomická univerzita v Bratislave, earned between 1992 and 1997.
