Kari Hicks

Kari Hicks is a Technical Consultant at Esri since October 2024, with extensive experience in geospatial technology and program management. Previously, at Bent Ear Solutions LLC, Kari served as a Technology Program Manager, focusing on technological direction, automation workflows with Python, and optimizing geospatial solutions for Utilities clients. Kari also held the position of Senior GIS Consultant at Bent Ear Solutions, assisting clients with technology enhancements. At Duke Energy Corporation, Kari progressed through several roles from GIS Technician to Sr. GIS Analyst, managing critical GIS databases for a major utility provider. Early in Kari's career, teaching experience was gained as an Associate Instructor at Indiana University and involvement in research projects at both Indiana University Bloomington and Ball State University. Academic qualifications include a Geography degree with concentrations in GIS and Atmospheric Sciences from Ball State University and graduate coursework in Geography from Indiana University Bloomington.
